Who Can Request a Voucher for Learning Croatian?

A new voucher system has been established to facilitate the learning of the Croatian language for foreign workers from third countries. This initiative targets sectors and professions where proficiency in Croatian is essential for performing job duties effectively. The program is also available for returnees from emigration and foreigners under temporary protection.

oreign workers who are citizens of third countries can apply for a Croatian language learning voucher if they meet certain criteria:
They have been granted residence for work purposes after one year of employment in the Republic of Croatia.
They are Croatian emigrants, family members or descendants of Croatian emigrants, or family members of a descendant of a Croatian emigrant.
They are under temporary protection.
To receive the voucher, foreign workers must provide the following documentation, depending on their status:
Certificate of residence (issued by the police authority)
Residence and work permit (including name, surname, tax identification number, validity period, nationality)
Residence permit
Identity card for foreigners under temporary protection
The language learning will be conducted through short informal programs lasting 70 hours, tailored to specific sectors, including:
Construction
Tourism and hospitality
Manufacturing industry
Food industry
